I am highly convinced and my life experience confirms the fact that the Food Industry is the most popular industry in the world, because until now, despite all scientific achievements and technical progress, we still cannot live without air, water and food.
The Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies (ONAFT) is one of the oldest educational institutions not only in Odessa, but also in the Ukraine training personnel of specialists for all branches of the food industry. Graduates of our academy work in may Ukrainian cities, as well as in former Soviet Republics and foreign countries.
Demand for our graduates increases every year. Many of our graduates are invited to work at the food manufacturing and processing factories, enterprises and businesses. Our graduates are distinguished not only by their highly advanced professional level, but also by their communication skills, teamwork and sense of humor. Our graduates′ success is the result of the highly professional training received during their studies at the Academy from the side of professors along with important lessons in ethical industrial behavior.

Graduates of our Academy hold leading positions at all levels - from the president of Mongolia to the heads of branches, consortiums, associations, plants, and educational institutions.
ONAFT is a multi-profile higher educational institution of the highest, fourth level of accreditation. It received the status of the National institution in 2002 for its achievements in training of specialists. There are B.Sc., M.Sc. and Specialist Programs and Courses for 19 specialties at 7 facilities of ONAFT teaching students during the day along with the Institute of Correspondence studies and Distance Education. The Institute of the post-diploma education gives one the opportunity to raise the qualification or get the second higher education. The Junior Academy is designed to teach the talented youth and prepare them for entering the ONAFT. There are post-graduate courses for obtaining Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in Engineering.
ONAFT has all facilities for the valuable teaching - there are 6 teaching buildings equipped with educational and scientific laboratories, a large library with 3 reading rooms, an up-to-date computing center equipped with computer laboratories. Problems of students′ lodging and recreation have been solved at ONAFT. There are 5 hostels for 3 thousand students, the health center for 50 students, and the summer sporting and recreation camp for 350 students at the Black Sea shore.
The student′s life consists not only of studying, and every student of our Academy has opportunity for spending his or her free time according to their desire and natural talents. At the Institute of culture one can get the second education in humanitarian and cultural fields. There are the student′s club and the sporting center with different sections and a winter swimming pool.
The assembly of business circles of the Ukraine has awarded ONAFT with the title of the «Intelligence of the nation». the academy became the winner of national competition and has received a title of the «Leader in food processing industry of the Ukraine 2004» for its achievements in the field. ONAFT has received a diploma of the «Best domestic goods of the year» for development of intellectual computer simulators.
In 2004 the Assembly of business circles of Europe (Oxford, England) has awarded our academy the premium of the «European quality» for successful achievement of the European standards of quality in providing the educational services. The same year ONAFT became a member of the European Universities Association (EUA). The Academy is a member of the European federation of food science and technology (EFFoST), and Black Sea Universities Association (BSUN).
We are proud of our Academy that celebrated recently its centennial. we are proud of our graduates who realize in practice the knowledge and skill obtained at ONAFT. We are pleased with their achievements and success in science and business, and we invite all wishing to join the ten-thousand family of students of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, one of the leading higher educational institutions in the Ukraine.
